Description

Chewable tablets
Tablets with simultaneous systemic and local action.
Composition:-

Each. Minafluor 1/4 mg. tablet contains 0.55 mg. of sodium fluoride equivalent to 0.25 mg of fluoride.

Properties:-Sodium Fluoride is readily absorbed from the gastro intestinal tract and deposited predominantly in the bone and teeth.

Advanced researches stated that fluorine enhances the resistance of teeth to caries decay, also fluorine increase enamel hardness, enhance

proper calcification, decrease D.M.F. index and promote reminerlisation or reduce microbial acid production.

The protective action of fluorine is due especially to its accumulation in the outer layers of the dental enamel. This process should begin before eruption of the teeth and continue for a long time afterwards.        Before eruption Minafluor when swallowed is carried to the developing teeth by the blood-stream and thus permits effective pre-emptive fluoridation. After their eruption the teeth take up fluorine both by internal channels and especially by way of direct contact with the fluorine contained in the saliva.

Minafluor has been given to increase bone density and relieve bone pain in patients with various metabolic and nepotistic bone diseases.

Minafluor also improves bone strength. The predominant effect of fluoride on the skeleton is to stimulate osteoblasts so it is indicated in osteoporosis
